“How to Squeeze Every Dollar of Your Sales Price”
1. Unclutter! This maximizes the size of every room and makes it neater. Clutter distracts the buyer from looking at the good points in your home.
2. Clean! This gives the buyer the impression your home has been well cared for. be sure every room smells as good as it looks. Remember the old Realtor motto, “If we can smell it, we sure can’t sell it!”
3. Repair! Buyers tend to think repairs will cost more than they do. If you think something is too much trouble to fix, chances are buyers will too.
4. Neutralize! As much as possible, try to remove any distracting colors and accessories. We want the buyer to concentrate on the house, not your purple fluffy house shoes.
5. The sizzle! Remember your home is in competition with others. You know how great the magazines make homes look. Give it a try in your own home by adding fresh flowers to the coffee table, setting the dining room table with your fine china, or adding fresh fruit to the kitchen. Check magazines and catalogs for ideas.
6. SHOWTIME! Prepare your home to be shown!! These are the last minute details that can make a difference and keep your home in the buyer’s mind!!
