Safety First! Clear all pathways - clutter is unattractive and causes accidents.
Open shades and drapes.
Open windows to freshen rooms, if weather will allow.
Let the sun shine in - make sure windows sparkle!
Turn on lights - as many as possible.
Silence is golden! Turn off all radios and television sets.
Empty wastebaskets, especially in the kitchen.
Make sure rugs are clean and straight.
Pick up dirty clothes.
Set a comfortable temperature - this is not the time to save money on utility bills!
Pick up lawn tools, hose and toys.
Remove pets and all evidence of them, if possible. At the least, contain them.
Deodorize pet areas.
Clean driveways and walk areas.
Make sure front door is clean.
Shine bathroom fixtures.
Final check every room, including a smell check.
Leave the house! Let the Realtor do her job. Buyers are uncomfortable and inhibited with sellers present!
